Hello Everyone,
Welcome to our last newsletter for the term.
The last five weeks at Kingston Primary has been busy and enjoyable. We've had excursions to the cinema for Cinefest, excursions to Busselton Jetty and excursions to the local parks and bush land areas. Students have participated in Book character dress up day, International Peace Day, Talk like a Pirate day and a P&C run disco. Plenty of learning and athletics training has taken place too.
Next term looks to be as busy and exciting. We are introducing a few new ideas that we feel will be of benefit to the students and families. These include the following:
Weekly assemblies will return to an 8:45am start
Introducing a Book award ceremony in Week 9 celebrating student excellence, endeavour and citizenship. More details to come out shortly on this.
Reports will be sent home on Monday of Week 10
Class lists for 2022 will be displayed on Tuesday of Week 10
Artbeat will be returning in Term 4 along with a visit from Scitech and the athletics carnivals and end of year Pre-primary Christmas Extravaganza and Year 6 graduation.
The P&C have been busy not only with organising the super success disco which we thank them for but also with a Colour Fun Run. The fun run day will be part of our newly introduced Inclusion day where we will recognise and celebrate diversity. Please keep an eye out for more information on these upcoming events.
If you have any special requests for child's placement in 2022 please email the school directly on kingston.ps@education.wa.edu.au or follow the link https://www.kingstonprimary.wa.edu.au/class-placement-preference-2022 by the end of Week 3, Term 4. All requests will be considered but I cannot guarantee to be able to grant all requests. Please ensure the requests are educationally based.
Thank you for another awesome term at Kingston Primary. May you all enjoy a relaxing break with your children and family. Keep safe and healthy and we'll see you on Tuesday 12 October 2021.
Best wishes
Katie Wallace
Principal
This fortnight our Core Virtue is : Orderliness
Orderliness is being neat, and living with a sense of harmony.
It is being organizeded and having a place for things when you need them.
Orderliness is planning something so that it works, doing it step
by step instead of going in circles. Orderliness is putting first things
first, and taking care of things you need to do.
I live this day with order. I do things step by step. I create beauty and
harmony in my space and in my life.

Congratulations!!
Keep on wearing your helmets to school to have a chance of winning an ice-cream and a new scooter at the end of the next term.
The school is currently experiencing a high number of students with coughs, colds and sickness who are then passing on the illness to others.
The school is continuing to support students to wash hands and stay healthy with their hygiene practices.
Please keep your children home if they are sick.
Thank you for your support.
Student Expectations at Kingston Primary School
Student Expectations at Kingston Primary School
Students are expected to wear Kingston PS unforms whilst at school. Please see the uniform shop if you require uniforms or check the lost property in the undercover area for items that may be 'missing'. A plain black jumper or jacket is also acceptable. Students will be asked to remove any items that are not part of the Kingston PS school uniform, or swap them for uniform items in the office, before school starts in the morning. Students must also wear broad-rimmed hats whilst out to play and during sport lessons, not caps. Thank you for your ongoing support in this matter to promote pride in our school uniform.
Hi Kingston Primary School Parents,
Kingston Primary School will be hosting a Fear-Less Triple P session on Thursday the 4th of November at 5pm.
Fear-Less Triple P supports parents to help their children to learn to manage their anxiety. In this 2-hour session, you will gain;
- a better understanding of anxiety and fear and what can be done about it.
- a whole range of tools and strategies to help, which are based on proven principles.
- an understanding of what to do when your child is anxious or upset.
A session is also being run at Eaton Primary School on Wednesday the 10th of November at 9.15am.
All parents are welcome to sign up for either session.
Please see the flyers attached for more details and sign-up information.
Places are limited so please get in early if you're interested!
Thank you,
