Last Week, the students from Kingston PS, travelled to both Bunbury PS and Tuart Forest PS to compete in the annual Interschool carnival. On Tuesday, Kingston got off to a great start, placing in all events throughout the year groups. The event continued on Friday where we had a shaky start to the day with many of our students not placing in the 400 m or Leader ball team games. But our competitive nature turned up a notch and we started placing consistently in the 100 m. Our best results were in the team game Pass ball, where we placed in 5 of the 6 games.

Throughout the day our students showed great sportsmanship and respect to all the competitors. With mixed results and many schools equally sharing success throughout the two days of competition, it was with great joy and a little surprise that we finished 2nd overall! While the team was full of champions, we had one official runner up Champion boy in year 6, Allan Mutai.

I would like to thank everyone involved in helping me on the day and while I am super proud of everyone, I am already planning for next year for us to hopefully go one better. Well done Kingston!
