Exciting New Opportunity for Students at Kingston
Primary School!

The Academic Enrichment Program is a new initiative for Kingston
Primary School beginning in the 2022 school year. The program is
designed to provide a challenging learning environment for 28 students
selected from a wide range of data. The program will operate as a fulltime multi-age Year 4, 5 and 6 class.
Students will experience a combination of explicit teaching and Project
Based Learning as part of their day. All curriculum areas will be covered
for each year level, and as well as that, students will be involved in
regular problem-solving tasks to apply their learning to real-life
situations. Essential 21st Century skills such as Collaboration,
Communication, Creativity and Critical Thinking will be at the heart of
the program. Students will be involved in activities that will challenge
them to be analytical and to find creative solutions. They will learn to
work as part of a team and develop confidence in presenting their
learning to others. All students in the program will still participate the
whole-school, specialist classes and year group activities that students in
other Year 4, 5 and 6 classes are involved in.
This is an exciting addition to the range of programs that Kingston
Primary School already provides in order to meet the diverse needs of
all our students.

in the school library.
